About Me

Hello, and thanks for visiting my website! If you're interested in learning a little more about me, then this is the page for you.

My background is deeply rooted in writing and literature, and has been since a young age. I studied English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Warwick, graduating with a first-class degree in 2022. I specialised in short-story writing, and had a fondness for American Literature and Romantic British poetry (Faulkner and Keats were my predilections, for those interested!). I was awarded Highly Commended for Europe in the Literature category for the Global Undergraduate Awards for my essay titled "Holy Capitalism, Batman! Exploring the relationship between urban capitalism and the hard-boiled genre in 20th Century American Literature" (a bit of a mouthful, I know).

I currently work as a writer and narrative designer in the video games industry for an indie games company in London. My work primarily focuses on creating and implementing quests and their associated dialogues, utilising an in-house visual coding system similar to Unreal Blueprints. My other responsibilities include character concepts, lore and story creation, and environmental story-telling. I am a passionate storyteller, a keen creative, and a proud defender of the oxford comma.

Outside of work, I am keen to be involved in anything creative that I can sink my teeth into, be that film, show writing, dark ride scripts, or even horror mazes. In my free time, I predictably enjoy writing, but my other hobbies include reading, film, and cooking. I am an obsessive reader, lover of 80s New Wave music, and avid Scrabble player on my commute to work. My current highest played word is "antidunes", a word I have yet to find any use for in anything I have written. I hope to one day.
